Pagans, Mayans and South Africans
The questions for today would be, Am I a Pagan? Am I a Wiccan? Well, the answer to that is yes and no. Yes, becauseĀ I got married in a pagan ceremony. Our Eternal Handfasting was scheduled to be celebrated during Litha on December last year. We practice several wiccan rituals and different earth, magick related dates are always on our calendars. We know the equivalence of the pagan holidays with the western-christian ones, and we also relate strongly to the power of this beliefs in every shape that they come in.
Yes we practice and respect Wicca. Some of our dearest friends are truly dedicated Wiccans and/or Pagans. The subtle difference might be that we also live accordingly to some of the most important Buddhist teachings, and the Toltec agreements, and so on. So great is the force of all this traditions that we honour and respect the core principles than that are simultaneously present in all of them. Ancient or modern, traditional or revolutionary, as long as they embrace life and light.
We expect and demand the same respect for ourselves.
